Halloween 012

I have a really bad condition where I can eat as much candy and goodies as I want and not ever get a tummy ache. So Halloween is definitely one of my favorite times of year, because I haven't eaten a solid meal for 2 days. I'm living off of candy. My little trick or treaters brought in quite the haul, but it wasn't due to the ingenuity of their costumes. The costumes that only cost me $19 and lots of hours. Our favorite movie around here is Tangled, but a lot of people haven't ever seen it and couldn't make the connection.
Ry made a great Rapunzel. (gesundheit) For the first time her school had a costume parade and she was so excited to wear her princess dress around school.
Dax is a pretty studly Flynn Rider. Old Eugene Fitzherbert made out like the bandit he is by bringing in all sorts of goodies.
Who else was there for Peyton to be but Pascal? Except a lot of people thought he was a frog or dinosaur. His little suit kept him plenty warm.
One of my favorite details is the painting my little sister put on Rylee's dress. It was the perfect finishing touch. I'm a little obsessed about these costumes, because I put soooo much time and effort into them.
The second house we got to Pascal was attacked by a little dog that he scared off by whacking it with his candy bag. He's a brave little chameleon.
We brought a  candy wagon to town with us to haul around all the trick or treaters we could find. Friends and cousins made the night so fun. My kids wouldn't know what to do at a trunk-or-treat, going door to door is what they do best. So many people in town have Halloween spirit and decorate their houses and go whole hog, which makes the night magical for little ones. Another huge plus of living in a small town is we know where the creepys live, and only go to the spookys.
Happy Halloween!

How does one not know who Rapunzel is? That's just crazy.

The story of Peyton whacking that dog made me laugh out loud. I need him to go trick or treating with Charlotte--to be her protector!

By the way, that detail work on the dress is amazing! She's a walking work of art. :)

I can't believe you made those costumes. You put me to shame! They are wonderful and it's so fun that you had a theme for all of them.
Fantastic!
